Can you believe I was bullied for being too smart??

    Bullying.

    Have you ever been bullied?

Or how about….have you ever bullied someone?

I was bullied throughout middle school. It was bad. I would come home in tears almost daily. I don’t remember everything, but I do remember the boys AND girls making fun of me.

And it wasn’t the typical bullying because I was “fat” or “ugly”.

Can you believe I was bullied for being “too smart”???

Yes! Being too smart for goodness sakes!!

I was a straight “A” student from 6th-12th grade. And THAT was why I was bullied!

The kids were sooooo mean! Day in and day out they make fun of me to the point I didn’t even want to go to school.

But, luckily for me, I have the best parents, and their support and guidance got me through some real tough years.

So when my oldest son started to get picked on at school, it made me tremendously sad. I cried many a night for him without him knowing that.

    I kept telling him…..

Ignore them buddy, I will always be here for you. You can always talk to me.

He is now 15 1/2 and I still worry about him daily. As a mom, I worry A LOT about him.

But just like my parents did, I keep showering him with positive words, lots of love, and help guide him to make the right decisions.

    And pray.

Pray every night that he makes the right decisions and that he treats people the way he wants to be treated.

After a few tough years with him and the kids bullying him, I really feel that he is growing up and it warms my heart. He is a strong kid.

    I admire my big boy.

He even gave me a hug and kiss yesterday (without me asking) and told me he loved me. ❤️

I am not sure if the bullying is over for him…. but what I do know is that he knows he can talk to me or his dad if he is having any problems.

    He knows that.

    He knows we love him.

    Love my big boy.
